Mats allow you to assign specific bouts to designated competition areas during a dual tournament. Follow the steps below to assign mats for your tournament. To see the steps in action, check out the video below.

Add a Mat

1. Go to Setup > Settings.
2. Set Use Mats to Yes.
3. Go to Setup > Mats.
4. Select the chart you want to assign mats for.
5. Click Add Mat.
6. Select the mat number.
7. Enter the bout numbers you want assigned to that mat in either:
   • Prelim Bout String, or
   • Regulation Bout String
8. If you need help identifying bout numbers, click View Bracket to open a sample chart.
9. Click Add.

Notes

• Most tournaments do not use preliminary bouts.
• The first round of preliminary bouts begins with 1.
• The second round of preliminary bouts begins with 51.
