Scramble Pairings automatically generates matches based on the pairing criteria you choose. Follow the steps below to create scramble pairings for your tournament. Watch the video below to see the process in action.

Create Scramble Pairings

  1. Go to Setup > Settings.
  2. Set Use Scramble Pairings to Yes.
  3. Go to Bracketing > Scramble Pairings.
  4. Select the wrestling style.
  5. Configure the pairing settings:
    • Weight Tolerance
    • Division Tolerance
    • Skill Tolerance
    • Desired Match Count
    • Maximum Allowed Match Count
    • Teams (optional)
  6. Click View Possible Pairings.
  7. Click Auto Pair.
  8. Click Create Selected Matches.

Manage Pairings

  • Click Delete Selected Pairings to remove matches.
  • Use Pair and Don't Pair to control whether specific wrestlers can be matched together.

Important

Delete any no-shows before creating scramble pairings.

Deleting a wrestler after pairings have been created will result in Null appearing on the bracket where the deleted wrestler was originally assigned.

Setting Descriptions

Weight Tolerance
Determines the range of actual weights used when creating pairings.

Division Tolerance
A setting of 1 allows pairings between wrestlers one division above and one division below their own division.

Skill Tolerance
A setting of 1 allows pairings between wrestlers whose separation criteria are one level above or below their own.

Desired Match Count
The number of matches the system attempts to create.

Maximum Allowed Match Count
The maximum number of matches some wrestlers may receive to help the system achieve the desired match count.

Teams
Limits pairings to selected schools or includes all teams. Hold Ctrl (Windows) or Command (Mac) to select multiple teams.
