You can move a wrestler to a different weight class after brackets have been built in an open tournament. Follow the steps below to update the wrestler's weight class and apply any necessary bracket changes. Watch the video below for a step-by-step walkthrough of the process.

Change a Wrestler's Weight Class

  1. Go to Groups/Divisions.
  2. Select the group the wrestler belongs to.
  3. Determine which weight class the wrestler should move to and make note of it.
  4. Go to Participants (Left Menu) or Wrestlers (top menu).
  5. Search for the wrestler.
  6. Click the wrestler's name.
  7. Note the wrestler's current weight class.
  8. Update the following information as needed:
    • Group
    • Weight Class
    • Actual Weight
  9. Click Save Participant.
  10. Answer the prompts for both the original and new weight classes.
  11. Click Finish.
  12. Check the weight class you moved the wrestler out of and the one you moved them to to make sure the bracket size matches and the wrestler is on the bracket.

Important

If your event uses number schemes:

  1. Go to Operating > Number Schemes.
  2. Select the affected number scheme(s).
  3. Click Apply Selected Schemes.
  4. Choose how you want to apply the updated numbering.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Type Apply to confirm.

After applying the number scheme, reprint any brackets, bout sheets, or other materials affected by the change.
