There are three seeding criteria that are part of every event and cannot be deleted. All three of these criteria associated with a record are necessary, and here is why:
- A minimum number of matches ensures a record is valid before it considers the winning percentage.
- The second criterion is the winning percentage.
- Wins break the tie between two records with the same percentage. A wrestler with a 10-2 record will be seeded ahead of a wrestler with a 5-1 record.
- Click Setup > Seeding Criteria.
- Click Tournament Records at the top of the page.
- Add/edit the record information associated with the seeding criteria, if desired.
- Edit the name of the default record
- Edit the minimum # of matches associated with the default record necessary for that record to be considered valid.
- You can use the Add Record button to add another type of record to your seeding criteria.
- Use the Add Criteria button to add other seeding criteria to your event.
- Change the order of the seeding criteria priority by using the Move option to the right of the page.
- When finished, click Save Criteria Order.
- Set the max seed jump you would like to use for your event.
- This setting is used to determine how far a person can move in the seed list based on a head to head win over someone above them.
- Example: Setting the max seed jump to 2 means that if a wrestler beats, or hasn't lost a match with a wrestler within 2 slots of themselves, the wrestler will move ahead.
- This setting is used to determine how far a person can move in the seed list based on a head to head win over someone above them.
