Option 1:

NOTE: The mat assignment display will show all of the matches that have been assigned to the mats. The Green rows are on the mat, the yellow matches are on deck, and the white ones are everything else. The matches are removed from the screen when the match result is entered into the system.

  1. Click on Mat Assignment Display in the Operating menu.
  2. Specify what you want to show up in each of the columns on the mat assignment display. Be sure to add the Announcer Box as your last column.
  3. Specify how often you want the screen to refresh.
  4. Specify how much you want the screen to scroll and how often it should scroll.
    1. A smooth scroll would be something like 1 pixel every .05 seconds.
    2. A block scroll would be something like 500 pixels every 10 seconds.
  5. Specify the font size you would like to use.
  6. Click the View Display button.
  7. Use the drop-down boxes to mark how many times the bout has been called.
  8. NOTE: These settings depend on the computer and display screen you are using. You should figure out ahead of time what settings you want to use for this, and be sure to save those settings using the [Save Settings] button at the bottom of the page. That way, on the day of your tournament, you can just click the View Display button and you are off and running.

Option 2:

  1. Click on Bout Detail in your Operating menu. Right-click on Bout Detail and choose to open the link in a new window.
  2. Change the drop-down in the Bout Filter on the left from Abbreviate Names to Show Full Names.
  3. The announcer should use the Printed and drop-down boxes to mark whether a bout has been announced or not. This works because announcing a bout with electronic bouts is like printing it when running a paper bout tournament.
  4. The announcer should periodically click the Go button in the Bout Filter on the left to see if there are any new bouts that are assigned to a mat but are not marked as Printed, and then call them to the mat and mark the bout as Printed.
